Welcome to The Meal!
Over the past 20 years, I've assisted people in living their fullest potential through health and lifestyle consulting. During this time, experience, case studies, and travel have shown me that wellness begins with what we eat, how we eat, and who we eat with.
The Meal, as simple as it seems, is a complex ritual that has lost respect in our modern times. My mission is to bring the family meal back to the forefront of our culture. Unfortunately, the inundation of devices, technology, and pressure from our speed-of-light society has interfered with its practice. Thus we've become "The Fast Food Nation." Over time we have seen its effect on our digestion and overall physical, mental, and emotional health.
The ritual of home-cooked meals and sitting with the family has diminished in the new millennium. The social aspect of our meals has turned into screen surfing on our phones. In our technically governed lives, the preservation of manners, etiquette, respect, prayer, communication, and, most importantly, love, all shared at the family table, have been lost or forgotten. This publication is to help us remember.
I chose to introduce a print publication because we spend enough time losing our minds (and our digestion) trying to keep up with email, e-news, and social media. And something tangible enhances our senses and adds richness to our lives. So I encourage you to subscribe, get a hole puncher and keep them in a binder. Then maybe one day, in case of a cyber world crash, your loved ones will be left with something special to read (and cook as each issue will include recipes)!
As each season comes, I hope you anticipate the quarterly publication, which will include an eclectic mix of topics and contributors that involve food, philosophy, stories, art, and humor. In addition, the electronic newsletter and blog offered from this site will be monthly tips on maximizing mindful meals in our modern times, new recipes, and a deeper look at the soul of The Meal.

I hope by sharing The Meal, I awaken within what you already know, as my teachers and masters have done for me.
